Meet our professional team

Each of us brings our own personal touch, working together to make sure your conference is handled with the utmost care. Ethne Cameron started Going Africa in 1993, effectively redefining conferencing and tourism within Mpumalanga and southern Africa as a whole. Marketed entirely by word-of-mouth, she quickly gained a reputation for her special blend of professional hospitality and personal dedication to all of her undertakings. She officially retired in 2014, yet is still a valued member of the team. Susie Prangley then took over Going Africa Conferencing and brought her special touch to the business. Kathy Knott, joined in 2015 and together as a sister partnership, Susie and Kathy managed many conferences successfully together. In 2017 after having worked part time in the business for two years, Marcia Mabuza joined the duo to make it a Trio and a new name was born, Via Africa Conferencing (VAC).

Marcia Mabuza

Marcia Mabuza began her conferencing career in Johannesburg in 2005, primarily organizing the Vodacom Field staff conferences every cycle. Marcia then relocated to Nelspruit in 2007 to begin her married life. She has a strong business background and is passionate about delivering a quality service with flair to her clients.  Marcia joined the VAC team in 2015 and added great value to an already dynamic duo.  Her organizational and people skills along with her work ethic are a superb combination for Via Africa Conferencing.


Kathy Knott

Kathy Knott became a member of Via Africa (VAC) in 2014 and is loving the field of conferencing. Her prior training as a tour guide in Europe as well as her professional qualification as a Psychologist, positions her perfectly to coordinate memory-making and information-sharing events. She has a passion for people, a keen interest in connecting with individuals from all over the world, and of course showcasing the best of what South Africa has to offer. Kathy prides herself on her attention to detail, administrative excellence and compassion for people, meeting their needs and consistently striving to exceed their expectations.


This dynamic team works hand-in-hand with extended team members and local organising committees to ensure amazing conferences and events. They are passionate, highly efficient, and enjoy partnering with like-minded individuals and teams to create exceptional ‘moments of meeting’.
